A group of friends are locked out of their house. What's the problem? Who's responsible? What are their problem-solving options? By performing this Unit learners are able to demonstrate a knowledge of problem solving and can apply a problem solving technique to a problem and evaluate the results.
Work Skills Unit 02: Demonstrate Care And Timeliness Skills As An Employee
Waking up late, not showering, unironed clothes, and an indifferent attitude doesn't make the perfect employee. By performing this Unit learners should have an awareness of personal presentation and behaviour, work place health and safety, a reasonable responsible attitude to equipment and materials, and be aware of timeliness in terms of punctuality, attendance, deadlines and notification of absences.
Work Skills Unit 03: Use Assertiveness Skills In A Range Of Specified Situations
Buying a t-shirt becomes complicated when the shop assistant won't listen to what is wanted. Having completed this Unit learners should be able to identify barriers to assertive communication, be able to interact assertively in a one-to-one situation, and to use the skills to communicate assertively in a small group.
Work Skills Unit 04: Use Organisational Skills To Coordinate A Group To Complete Routine Tasks
Disgusted by their untidy and unclean living conditions a group of people living together hold a meeting to discuss routine tasks, such as cleaning. By performing this Unit learners are introduced to team roles and responsibilities and routine tasks in a team or group.

Finding a job can be challenging. However, different strategies can be used to find a job. This Unit introduces job search skills such as identifying potential job opportunities, locating suitable vacancies and preparing for, and carrying out, a job search programme.
Work Skills Unit 07: Produce a CV
A well designed, easy-to read, and focused CV is an essential job search tool. This Unit introduces the concept of a CV, and discusses content, layout, purpose, presentation and production.
Work Skills Unit 08: Use Interpersonal Skills To Communicate Information In A Specified Work Place
A tourism information officer works at the front desk and deals with different customers who are either in the office or on the telephone. When this Unit is completed the person should be familiar with giving information to the clients face to face and on the telephone, recording, paraphrasing and responding to predictable inquiries.

Work Skills Unit 11: Use Reading And Assessing Skills Texts To Gain Knowledge
Reading the label on a baked beans tin, finding a photographer in the telephone book and understanding a personal report help our friends achieve their objectives. By performing this Unit learners are able to choose and assess texts for an identified purpose and read texts to gain knowledge.
Work Skills Unit 12: Use Reading Skills To Interpret Information Presented In Tables And Graphs
Characters in this roleplay collect information and present it in pie graphs to settle arguments amongst their friends over things such as most common hair and eye colour.

Work Skills Unit 13: Develop Research Skills
Friend One has to develop and write a research project outline. Not knowing where to start or what to do One checks in with a group of friends and asks for ideas and suggestions on what to do.
Work Skills Unit 14: Instruction Skills
Characters in this roleplay are assembled for the great shoe lace tying competition. Sole, Heel and Jimmy are seated behind desks with a shoe sitting in front of them. They have friends supporting them at their desks. They are going to attempt to follow a set of spoken and written instructions and tie their shoe laces.
Work Skills Unit 15: Develop Presentation Skills
Friend One has to prepare a speech on catching the bus. Although it may seem easy One wants help and so checks in with friends to get suggestions on content, presentation and delivery.
Work Skills Unit 16: Use Listening Skills
A character in the roleplay has to produce a CV as part of a class. The character's friends listen and then decide to offer helpful hints as to the content and layout of the CV.

You send us your order. We send you the ActUpModule/s with an invoice to review. You have a 21 day right of return. If you keep the ActUpModule/s pay by sending your usual school cheque to us.
Alternatively return the ActUpModule/s in an envelope along with your invoice saying that you are returning them. Your invoice will be voided.
Outside of Schools
If you are not a teacher within a school we require payment, either by cheque or credit card, before dispatch of our playscripts. We have secure credit card facilities available so please contact us by email so that we can direct you to our processing centre for payment processing.
